Payments, Fees, and Refund Policy

General Payment Terms

When you sign up for any of our programs, you authorize AKB Health, Inc. (DBA Real Life Runners) to charge your designated payment method for the applicable fees.

Prices for our coaching fees as published on our website may fluctuate as a result of current market rates, competitive positioning, and other factors. We do not raise or lower rates for members who are currently enrolled in our membership programs. If the price of our service increases, you will be billed at your original rate. Should you leave our coaching program and re-enter at a later time, the new rate will be in effect. If prices go down and you are paying a higher rate, please contact us and we will work with you to adjust your pricing. Due to limitations with our payment processor, we cannot make these changes without you initiating the request with us.

 

We want you to be 100% satisfied with the service you receive. If you are cancelling a service or requesting a refund because you are unhappy with a product or service, please contact us directly so we can address the issue. We may not be aware of the problem, and we would love the opportunity to make it right within reasonable limitations.

 

Refund Policy

Our refund policy is subject to change and will be enforced based on the policy in effect on the date the refund is requested.

Processing Fee for Refunds on Already-Processed Payments

All subscription-based products will auto renew until cancelled, and you must cancel at least 1 business day before the payment processes to avoid being charged. You can cancel at anytime in your account settings. If a payment has already been processed and a refund is requested within 5 days of the charge, the refund will be issued minus a $50 processing fee. This fee reflects the payment processing costs charged to us by our payment processor, which are non-recoverable regardless of whether a refund is issued, as well as the administrative time required to process the refund.

If a refund is requested 5 to 30 days after the charge has been processed, you will have 2 options:

  1.  Request a credit for future services for the full amount paid. This credit can be transferred to another member or used as a gift.
  2.  Request a partial refund of up to 50%. The maximum refund that will be processed after the 5 day grace period is 50% of the amount paid. 

No refunds will be processed after 30 days. 

This policy applies to all subscription-based and one-time payment products unless otherwise stated in a specific product’s refund terms below.

In some cases, members may request to pause their membership rather than cancel. We are happy to accommodate pause requests where possible. Please contact us at [email protected] to discuss this option.

 

Refund Policy — Subscription-Based Products

Month-to-Month Memberships

Memberships will auto-renew each month until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; however, to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle, you must cancel at least 48 hours before your renewal date. Your billing cycle renews on the same day of the month as your original sign-up date

Once cancelled, you will not be charged going forward. Payments that have already been processed are non-refundable. 

You can cancel your membership by going to My Account in the top right corner of the members area, or by emailing [email protected]. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to all content through the end of the month in which you cancelled.

  

Annual Memberships

Memberships will auto-renew annually until cancelled. To prevent your membership from automatically renewing, you must cancel at least 2 business days prior to your renewal date.

If a refund is requested after an annual payment has been processed, the refund will be issued minus a $50 processing fee if the request is received within 5 business days of billing. If the refund request is received after the 5 day grace period, no refund will be processed.

Members who do not cancel prior to their renewal date and did not intend to renew are encouraged to contact us promptly at [email protected]. We will work with you to find a fair resolution, which may include a partial refund or a credit for future services. No refunds will be granted after 30 days from the date of the charge.

Upon cancellation, annual members will retain access to all content for the one-year period originally paid for. Once that term ends, access to all content and coaching services including the member group will end.

 

Refund Policy — Non-Subscription Products

Custom Training Plans

For custom training plan purchases:

  •  If a refund is requested before the initial fitness questionnaire has been completed and submitted, a 100% refund will be issued.
  •  If a refund is requested after the questionnaire has been submitted but before the final training plan has been delivered, a 50% refund will be issued. This reflects the significant time our coaches invest in reviewing your questionnaire and preparing your personalized plan.
  •  Once a training plan has been delivered, no refund will be given.

1:1 and Group Coaching Calls

Once a coaching call has taken place, no refund will be given.

No refunds will be given for missed calls. If a call needs to be rescheduled, written notice (email) must be provided at least 4 hours prior to the scheduled call. Notice given less than 2 hours in advance will be considered a missed call. Special consideration may be made on a case-by-case basis for extenuating circumstances such as family emergencies

 

Other One-Time Products (Training Plans, Coaching Programs, Lifetime Access Pass, etc.)

For one-time purchases and payment plan products:

  •  Prices are valid at the time of purchase. We do not offer refunds for price differences.
  •  If you choose a payment plan, your card will be charged monthly for the number of months stated at checkout until paid in full. If you cancel, you must do so before 30 days or you will be required to pay the remaining balance.
  •  If payment is stopped or declined, you will lose access to the program. Please contact customer support if you are experiencing financial hardship and need to modify your payment plan.
  •  If you initiate a charge dispute with your bank, you will lose all access to the program, be banned from enrolling in future Real Life Runners programs, and may be subject to additional legal action.
  •  If a refund is requested on an already-processed payment, a $35 processing fee will be deducted from the refund amount.

 

1:1 Coaching Program — Payments and Cancellation

With our 1:1 Coaching Program, you are obligated to pay membership fees on a monthly basis as selected at sign-up. Fees will be billed automatically to the payment method used during your initial purchase and will renew until terminated by you. You can cancel or modify your payment at any time in the members area.

When you purchase the 1:1 Coaching Program, you authorize AKB Health, Inc. (DBA Real Life Runners) to charge your designated payment method for all applicable fees. Please allow 48 hours for cancellation requests to be processed.

Pricing for 1:1 coaching may fluctuate based on market rates and other factors. Current enrolled members will not be subject to price increases. If you leave and re-enroll, the current rate will apply.
