Marching

Try to get your knee up high and bring your leg and hip through a full range of motion

 

Skipping

Focus on keeping your back straight and be quick and light on your feet

 

Butt kicks

Bring your heel up towards your butt to really warm up the hamstrings

 

Side skips

You can do this slowly or more quickly as your warmup. Great for warming up those lateral hip stabilizers.

 

Slow Karaoke

This helps to warmup the spine and hips and feels so good! One of Angie's favorites!

 

Incorporating these drills will help you to actively warm up and will also improve your form while running when done on a consistent basis.
